One of the problems of the junction boxes, is that even they are water-tight, they are not air-tight. The air humidity steadily condesates in the junction box and after some time, the water in the box damages the circuitry in it. The use of the 8882 gel is strongly recommended where this situation is advisable. The gel comes in packages of 292 mL, so fills most of the junction boxes to the level of circuitry. The gel is formed by two liquid components, that after mixing and pouring into the box, gelatinazes to a soft but water repelent substance. This gel is tranparent and allows to insert the screwdriver to perform corner adjustments. After extracting the screwdriver, the gel closes again and the board is protected.
